Good questions.

What is the difference between hydrosol and essential oil?

Hydrosol is the aromatic water condensed during distillation. Essential oil is a separate phase of volatile compounds obtained from suitable plants. Oil yield varies between plants.

How do I choose between 3, 5 and 10 litres?

Consider your botanical quantity, available workspace and how often you plan to distil. Litres indicate model capacity, not product yield.

Which botanicals can be used?

Aromatic plants such as lavender are used in botanical distillation. Species, plant part and preparation all influence the result.
